Welcome to another episode of I Am Gotham, the show that explores Batman family history through the ages. In this episode, Martin goes in depth on Detective Comics #47 and #48 from January and February 1941. Before that though, Martin goes in a short discussion on upcoming "Elseworlds" style stories coming out from that DC that should be of interesting to Batman fans including White Knight, Creature of the Knight, and The Dark Prince Charming.

In this episode, Martin talks about Batman #4 from Winter of 1940 with four new stories, THe Case of the Joker's Crime Circus, Blackbeard and the Yacht Society, Public Enemy Number 1 Starts Jail Sentence, and Touchdown For Justice. This issue is fascinating for Bat-history afficionados as it's the first appearance of Gotham City, and sets up many of the tropes we come to known and love in Batman lore.
