We Are The Eighties!

This week finds the 2BT guys hanging out and talking about pets, whether or not there are too many Star Wars trailers, going to Scarborough Faire, Dungeons & Dragons, cartoons and much more!  Enjoy the show!

What does 2BT stand for? Higher wages and gender equality. But aside from that it stands for many things.

Two Bald Texans, or more accurately, Two balding Texans, Dave and Michael.   Two breakfast tacos. Two Boned Thugs ('n harmony). Two (not so) Beautiful Texans. Two Bad Ass Texans (in their minds). Two Broke Texans. 2BT also stands for 3Bt when Dave's brother Steve joins us.  It's the Podcast of 1000  a thousand names!

2BT also stands for 3BT  since the show is an excuse for two, and sometimes three, cousins to get together to talk about the plethora of things that interest, entertain, captivate, and sometimes even bore us.  It's about the past.  It's about the present.  It's about the future.

We hope that some of you enjoy our show, but, honestly, it doesn't matter; we're having fun either way!

And oh yeah! Star Wars!!  And Valiant Comics!  And Dr. Who!   And Conan the Barbarian! And music! And movies! And more, more, more.  There's always something to love!

2BT: All In Da Family is hosted by David Hammons and Michael Sparkman and produced by Michael Sparkman.

So Dave and Steve fired Michael from the podcast, which means you should be ready for lots of Star Wars talk! They look at Solo, Rebels, The Clone Wars, and much more Star Wars related news.  Then they finally discuss the first book of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series, Stormfront.  Plus there's a healthy dose of music and much more!
On this bonus episode, Michael takes a look at how he came to love Valiant comics and the things its given him.
Hey the trailer for the next Star Wars movie, Solo, is out and Dave couldn't wait to share his first impressions.  Did he hate it? Did he love it? Listen and find out!
On this episode the the Broke Texans forgot they were recording and ran through a wide range of topics including the music of Ben Nichols and Lucero, Cormac McCarthy, World War II in the Pacific, Johnny Cash, tubing down rivers, how Steve saved Michael's life, and much more.  Dave finally got them back on track to discuss their progress through Pierce Brown's new novel, Iron Gold.  Read the Red Rising series! Break the chains!!!
On this bonus episode of 2BT, Michael returns with some more memories of how early experiences shaped his reading habits.  It's kind of about how the serendipity of circumstance can lead you to some interesting places and fighting dragons.  There's also a little bonus after the outro that best summarizes his thoughts on the importance of books.  Thanks for listening!
