What does 2BT stand for? Higher wages and gender equality. But aside from that it stands for many things. Two Bald Texans, or more accurately, Two balding Texans, Dave and Michael.   Two breakfast tacos. Two Boned Thugs ('n harmony). Two (not so) Beautiful Texans. Two Bad Ass Texans (in their minds). Two Broke Texans. 2BT also stands for 3BT when Dave's brother Steve joins us.  It's the Podcast of 1000 a thousand names! 2BT is about the past, the present, and the future - and oh yeah, Star Wars!

2BT: All In Da Family is hosted by David Hammons and Michael Sparkman and produced by Michael Sparkman. Feel free to get in touch with us via Twitter, @2btshow, by sending us an e-mail.

Retro 2BT Back To The Beginning

The anchor of 2BT overcomes all obstacles to introduce a new-old episode! We travel back to the beginning to enjoy the horrible beauty that we were in the early episodes.  We'll be back next week with new 2BT joy!

On this episode the the Broke Texans forgot they were recording and ran through a wide range of topics including the music of Ben Nichols and Lucero, Cormac McCarthy, World War II in the Pacific, Johnny Cash, tubing down rivers, how Steve saved Michael's life, and much more.  Dave finally got them back on track to discuss their progress through Pierce Brown's new novel, Iron Gold.  Read the Red Rising series! Break the chains!!!
On this bonus episode of 2BT, Michael returns with some more memories of how early experiences shaped his reading habits.  It's kind of about how the serendipity of circumstance can lead you to some interesting places and fighting dragons.  There's also a little bonus after the outro that best summarizes his thoughts on the importance of books.  Thanks for listening!
This week the guys try to embrace hate but just end up loving everything.  Topics are fever dreams, a doctor's visit (NSFW), a mean guy on a podcast, Star Trek, and the great new novel by Pierce Brown, Iron Gold!  Thanks for listening.

This is little bonus episode where Michael will discuss different books he has read or is reading.  This is the zero issue of the bonus episodes because its simply an explanation of what the episodes will cover.  Basically its an opportunity for him to empty some of the things in his head and reflect on many of the great books that he's loved in the past and is reading now.  Thanks for listening!
This week's episode begins midway through a discussion of Ray Wylie Hubbard's song "Dead Thumb King" and then naturally flows into Texas music, Dave's musical adventures, weird things that happen, the craziness of the Happy! television show, and more.
