Happy new comic book day! In this episode of Comic Talk Today, Martin spends some time talking about the April 2018 sales and what that means for the state of the comic industry. Then, Martin talks about two new book announcements that has him intrigued, and a short discussion of the Luke Cage season 2 trailer. Finally, stay through to the end and fill up on some fresh comic recommendations with a new installment of the comic predictor!

A new week, a new episode of Comic Talk Today! This is a Top of the Pile episode in which Martin talks about some of his comic book reads from last new comic book day and there are tons of books to discuss including Avengers #1, DC Nation #0, Death or Glory #1, Coda #1, Come Into Me #2, Harbinger Wars 2 Prelude #1, Teether #1, and for the first time, Martin dives back in time to a book he missed when it was first published and talks about Spencer & Lock #1-4!

It is Thursday once again and that could only mean that it is time for a little therapy...and a guest! This week, speaker, author, and now comic book writer BJ Mendelson joins Martin to discuss his comic, Vengeance, Nevada, and as well as other geeky things like his thoughts on comic pricing, Infinity War (no spoilers) and more. Be sure to check out BJ's book and as always, I'll give five copies away to anyone who wants to check it out. Then, stay tuned to the end as BJ's Star Wars knowledge is challenge in a game Martin calls, "May The Force Leave You Stranded In Nevada."

Paul Tesseneer joins Martin for a special episode of The Rant in which we ask the question, are comic books too expensive? Inspired by an episode of the Best of the Rest podcast and backed up by a super scientific Twitter poll, Martin and Paul dive into comic pricing, how it has changed over the years, and why comic books are so expensive.

Comic Talk Today is back with a brand new episode of Top of the Pile, that time of the week where Martin discusses some of his favorite reads from this past new comic book day. This week there's a total of twelve books including offerings from Aftershock, Dark Horse, Image, Valiant and Vault and some surprise books hit the top of the pile including Hillbilly #9, Aliens: Dust to Dust #1 and Ice Cream Man #4. Thanks for listening!
