Valiant Central

Every other week, Martin, D'Juan, and Travis gather together to discuss the latest coming out of the Valiant Comics universe. No reviews, just hard core discussion on books that we love.

Valiant Central is hosted by Martin Ferretti , D'Juan Hammonds and Travis Williams and produced by Martin Ferretti. Get in touch with us via Twitter, @valiant_central, by sending us an e-mail.

Valiant Central has released 196 episodes since launching on Jan 01, 2015

This week on the Valiant Central Podcast, Martin and Paul are joined by special guest Brent Peeples, whom many Valiant fans know for his amazing variant covers and who just so happens to be working on the upcoming Gold Key Alliance for Dynamite with writer Phil Hester. We follow up on our art discussion from last week to get Brent's thoughts on the evolution of art in comics, his creative process, and of course, his upcoming project. You can find Brent on Facebook (here) or Twitter @peeplesart. Of course, Martin is @geekvine and Paul is @whospaul. Thanks for listening!

It's Friday and that can only mean it's time to gear up for the weekend and tune into an all new episode of the Valiant Central Podcast! This week, Martin and Paul discuss the evolution of comic book art over the past couple of decades and what sets Valiant apart from other publishers. We dive a little bit into the art process, then talk about the latest sales numbers and what those numbers really mean.

This week on VCP, Paul and Martin talk about some of what made the classic Valiant universe great, and sometimes not so great. We focus mostly on Bloodshot, Ninjak and Magnus but dive a bit into some of the others we'd like to see come back. Due to some audio issue, I had to cut the episode short, but be sure we'll be discussing this topic again in the future.

This week, the Valiant Central Podcast is proud to present you our interview with Rafer Roberts, indie writer/artist, and the creative genius behind the upcoming A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong. We talked to Roberts about his creative process, what we can except from the upcoming book, and so much more! Be sure to check out his site, PlasticFarm.com for more on his independent work and catch the new A&A title in stores March 16, 2016.

Every week Paul and Martin gather together for great discussion on the Valiant universe...this is not one of those weeks as Todd and Ronnie from the newly launched Off The Ropes podcast join the show to discuss solicits, December sales, variant covers, and...well just listen in and find out!
