He shares their origin, their meaning, and their importance to him. Thanks for listening. 143podcasts@gmail.com Look for Bibliophile Labyrinth Adventures on Twitter!

This episode covers JRR Tolkien's posthumous work, The Story of Kullervo, written when he was at Exeter College, Oxford, from 1914 to 1915 and published in 2015. Michael from Germany discusses it and its source material, the Finnish epic poem Kalevala, a work that influenced not only Tolkien but Longfellow's Hiawatha, fantasy, Dungeons & Dragons and much more. One of the important themes of this episode is the importance of sharing stories and shared story telling.
