It's Thursday which means it's time for a little comic book therapy on Comic Talk Today and this week, Martin is joined by Bleeding Cool head writer, Rich Johnston! Rich and Martin discuss the Batman #50 PR debacle, why it's irrelevant to the issue, and of course, about spoiler culture as a whole including how he handles spoilers on his website. Plus, get ready for a little discussion of the role of politics in the comic book medium, finding standout stories, and tons of book recommendations.

On this episode of Comic Talk Today, movie news abound! First up, Martin briefly brings up the Batman #50 controversy and why you should dismiss the spoilers and make up your mind on the story yourself before diving into the announcements of Skyward, Animosity, Faith and Gideon Falls heading to the big (and small) screen. Finally, he wraps up the news with some talk about the DC Universe service and what to expect. Then, it's Comic Predictor time as he dives into some comic recommendations for tomorrow's new comic book day.

A new week means a new installment of Top Of The Pile on Comic Talk Today. This week, Martin talks about some of his favorite reads from last new comic book day including Pestilence: A Story of Satan #2, Shadow Roads #1, Harbinger Wars 2 #2, The Sentry #1, Blackwood #2, Multiple Man #1, Bedtime Games #1, Detective Comics #983 and The Man of Steel #5.

On an all new episode of Comic Talk Today, Martin premieres a new series entitled Secret Origins, in which he looks at some iconic comic book characters and dives into how their origin stories have changed over the years. In this first installment, Martin tackles Catwoman and goes through Batman (1940) #62-65, The Brave and The Bold (Vol 1) #197, Batman: Dark Victory, Catwoman (2011) #0 and #35-40 before tying it all back to the current Batman run with special attention to Batman (2016) Annual #2. Plus, the winners of the CulDeSac giveaway!

It's Thursday and that means it's time for a little comic book therapy on Comic Talk Today! This week, Martin is joined by Portland-based writer and artist Colin Lawler to discuss his book Spirits: The Soul Collector, currently running as a Kickstarter and also available on Webtoons. Colin and Martin dive into what the story is about, being inspired by Jeff Smith and Hayao Miyazaki, crafting an original story, the differences between print and digital publishing, working with Kickstarter, and more!
