“What Did You Watch This Week?” is a weekly podcast were your hosts talk about the televisions shows, movies, and trailers that they watched this week. This encompasses not only new shows or movies but past favorites and re-runs they may have watched or even short runs series you can only find on Netflix, HULU or DVD.
We're back! As in we're finally back doing the shows in person instead of remotely, and while we still maintain the 6 foot rule, we are so excited to be face to face again that we go off on more than a few tangents! But in between we also talk about the season finale of What We Do In The Shadows, how good Upload is getting, and our new love, Hannibal!
This week, John and Mike discuss the Season finales of both Legends of Tomorrow and Killing Eve, as well as a rather "erotic" What We Do In The Shadows. Mike talks about a bunch of movies he watched, and John gives his views on the two that were suggested the week before. Add in some new shows from Hulu and HBO Max, and you have plenty to listen to indeed!
This week John and Mike saw some ok stuff including a fairly good penultimate episode of Killing Eve, a so-so finale to Modern Love, and an truly wonderful penultimate Legends of Tomorrow. Also, the guys discuss a few movies they watched, Mike makes some impassioned please for John (and everyone) to watch 2 specific flicks, and John praises Stargirl and Doom Patrol's first episodes.
This week John and Mike are both feeling the angst of social distancing, and on top of that they find themselves pretty put off by a number of rather lackluster episodes of what are normally great shows, but they still manage to find some good amidst the garbage. This includes Mike's hard selling of Den of Thieves and John's glowing praise for the animated Harley Quinn show! All this and plenty more!
This week John and Mike talk it out about the stupid cliffhanger ending on The Rookie, the unexpected and very growth-filled homecoming on Killing Eve and the absolute worst episode of Modern Love so far! Also, among all the other talk, we see how our love of Lazlo is shifting thanks to Jackie Daytona's untimely entrance on What We Do in the Shadows!
